Prof. Xingming Zhou(1938.12——)is now

 The dean of the School of Software Engineering at Tongji University;
 The director of Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory on Parallel and Distributed Processing Technology;
 The member of the Academy of Chinese Sciences.

EDUCATION
1961 graduated from the Department of Computer at Harbin Military Engineering Institute.

CAREER HISTORY
1961 – 1970 Taught and Researched in the Harbin Military Engineering Institute;
Participated in manufacturing several computer systems, 901 computer (transistors) and 030 computer (ICs);
1970 – Taught in Changsha Engineering Institute, as well as in the National University of Defense Technology;
1978 Participated in the research of 151 mainframe computer and it was given high evaluation;
1983 As one of the chief designers, successfully developed YH-1, which is the first supercomputer made in China;
1985 As the chief leader, Prof. Zhou led the building of the first high speed digital simulation computer in China, YH-F1;
1992 As the chief designer, Prof. Zhou successfully manufactured YH-2 supercomputer, a general-purpose, 1 billion operations per second parallel computer.
2003 – now the Dean of the School of Software Engineering at Tongji University.

RESEARCH INTERESTING
Main research areas cover high performance computing, mobile computing and distributed and parallel processing.

AWARDS AND GRANTS
For YH-F1 and YH-2, a first class award for national prize of progress in science and technology was granted respectively.

 In 1990 awarded as the "Advanced Individual for Scientific and Technological Achievements in Colleges and Universities in China" by State Education Commission and State Science and Technology Commission; awarded as the "Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert with Important Contributions" by the Ministry of Personnel.
 In 1995 awarded the Science and Technology Achievement Award of HO LEUNG HO LEE Foundation;
 In 1996 titled with “The Science and Technology Star in Hunan”.

Title: Coordination and compensation

Jifeng He is an Academician of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences).In August 1943, He was born in Shanghai. And in Feb.1965, he graduated from Fudan University. At present, He works as Dean of Software Engineering Insitute, East China Normal University (ECNU), Vice Dean of Academic Committee of ECNU, Dean of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Trustworthy Computing and Vice-Chairman of Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. In the early 1980s, He was sent to foreign country for farther study. Once he was a visiting professor of Oxford University, and acted as a senior research fellow of International Institute for Software Technology, United Nations University(UNU-IIST), Macau, Chian. He has been engaged in computer software and theory over a long period of time. He has acquired plenty of achievements, and won the 2nd class award of the 2002 State Natural Science Award. He has published about 140 research papers in international journals and conferences, which have been cited more than 540 times by SCI publications. His research has significant impact on researchers and practitioners who are working in computer science from all over the world.
In recent years, he was honoured of Shanghai excellent Chinese Communist, famous teacher, and model worker etc. Recently, he was appointed as the Chief Scientist for the “Trusted Software Fundamental Research” as a major research plan established by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and he was also appointed as the Chief Scientist for the “Theory and Practice on Coordination and Survivability for Massive Amount of Information” project as the National Basic Research Program (“973” Program) established by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).

A full professor of computer science and business school at East China University of Science & Technology, a visiting research scientist and supervisor of CS doctoral students in the Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Science, the co-founder of ASTI, an international software company established in 1990. He served as the (Industrial) Advisory Board member of IEEE Software for ten years (1996-2006), a senior member of IEEE, the founding member and elected VP of iNTACS, and the founding and board member of UMTP International. He earned the State Science & Technology Achievements Award 1992, the first prize of Shanghai S&T Achievements Award, the State Distinguished Expert Award, 2003 Leading People in Shanghai S&T Venture and the Government Special Subsidy from the State Council. After a successful application for hosting ICSE2006 at Shanghai, Prof. Ju was elected as the Conference Coordination Committee Co-Chairs of ICSE2006. He is the present director of China Software Industry Association, chairman of The Shanghai Software Quality Consortium and Vice President of The China System and Software Process Improvement Association. He is the editor-in-chief and founder of a famous IT resources website “IT Source” in China。

Yuxi Fu

I attended Tongji University in 1981, majoring computer science. In 1986 I attended the Msc program in the Computer Science Department of Tongji University. From 1988 to 1992 I was a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science, University of Manchester, England. I got my PhD in October 1992.
I am currently a professor of the Department of Computer Science, Shanghai Jiaotong University. I am also serving as the Departmental chairman and the dean of the School of Software. I am the director of BASICS, the Laboratory for the Basic Studies in Computing Science, supported by the Shanghai Education Commission. My research interest is in theoretical computer science, focusing mainly on the concurrency theory, the type theory and the related issues in formal method. The evolution of my research interest can be seen from the list of my publications. Our research effort has come up with results in type theory and its semantics, -Calculus, -Calculus and Ambient Calculus. My present research interest is in theory of interaction.
In 2003, I was awarded the National Distinguished Young Scientist.

Dr. Binyu Zang

Currently, Binyu Zang is a professor in Parallel Processing Institute of Fudan University. His research interests are compilers, computer architecture and system software solutions, which include optimizing and parallelizing compilers, run-time optimization, live updating of software systems, system virtualization and trusted computing using virtualization. He has several publications in top international conferences on compilers and system software such as ICSE, LCPC, CC, LCTES and VEE. As one of the main designers, he developed two parallelizing compilers, AFT and Agassiz, during 1990 to 2000. The parallelizing compiler system AFT can parallelize all the programs in Spec95fp benchmarks automatically as well as many programs in Perfect and NASA. All these parallelized programs can get significant speedup on SGI origin 2000 machine. He serves as a program committee member for ACM SIGPLAN/SIGBED 2007 Conference on Languages, Compilers, and Tools for Embedded Systems (LCTES'07).

In 1990, he joined the Department of Computer Science at Fudan University, as a faculty member. He used to be an associate head of the Department of Computer Science. He was an architect of Intel China Software Lab in 2000~2001. In Intel, he improved the floating pointer performance of the Binary Translator in the Itanium platform. Also he developed the EBC compiler which has been released by Intel.

Now he is the dean of the Software School of Fudan University. He founds the Software School from scratch and is trying to do some reformation in the education systems as well as research systems.

Wang, Deming (chairman of the board)

Mr. Wang is one of the founders of Venus Software Corporation. He worked for 8th Lab of East China Computer Technology Research Institute, and then served as the chief manager of software development team for 0520 microcomputer project. Mr. Wang acted as chief marketing officer at Venus Software Corporation in the period of 1988 – 1989. From 1990 to 1996, he became the chairman of the board in 2007,he was the vice president at Tokyo office for developing customer base. Since 1996, he has been the general manager at Venus Software Corporation. He is the vice president of Software Offshore Business Union (Shanghai).

Mr. Wang achieved his bachelor of science from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China 1980, and awarded his MBA at China Europe International School in 1998.

Dr. Chien-Ming Huang
Vice President of Autodesk, General Manager of ACRD

Dr. Huang has been named as Vice President of Autodesk, General Manager of Autodesk China Research & Development (ACRD). ACRD is the biggest R&D organization of Autodesk worldwide with over 1500 engineers in China. His responsibility includes but not limited to manage and operation ACRD, enhance government and education relationships.
Before Dr. Huang joined Autodesk, he was the co-founder of Hanna Strategies LLC, and General Manager of Hanna Strategies China Hanna Strategies, an engineering services firm that offers software development with centers in Shanghai, China, Atlanta, Georgia and Pune, India, with over 1000 employees worldwide. He grew Hanna Strategies China from 15 to over 1000 employees in four years since 2003. He is passionate about China’s technology prospects and sits on various committees that guide and plan the future of software technology in China. In recognition of his contribution for China, Dr. Huang has received numerous government awards including the China' Top Employers TM 2008 and 2009, the coveted Magnolia Silver award for 2007 and Star Software Entrepreneur for 2006.
During the past 20 years, Dr. Huang held various positions in software development ranging from technical development in the fields of computer graphics, solid modeling and CAD to manage R&D centers.
Dr. Huang is a mechanical engineer by training having received his Ph. D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after which he immediately switched to software when he worked for GE Research Center as a researcher for computer vision and image understanding.
Dr. Huang is an avid basketball player where he applies many of the playbook strategies on and off the court.

Bio of Mr. Zhiming ( Bill) Xu
Mr. Xu is Senior Advisor of Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board (SFIDB), which is Shanghai Municipal Government’s foreign investment and overseas investment promoting organization.

In 2001— 2007, Mr. Xu was Chief Representative & Director of SFIDB Los Angeles Office. Los Angeles Office is SFIDB’s first overseas office covering the North America region. Mr.Xu and his office attracted many US companies expanding or locating their investment projects in Shanghai by providing all kinds of services for US companies. At the same time SFIDB LA office also assist Chinese companies expand their business into the US. Mr. Xu is familiar with various industrial sectors in the US and has established wide connection with business circle of VC and PE and IT and Bio industry. He was one of the speakers for Shanghai International Software Outsourcing Summit 2005 and advisor of 2008 Summit and Keynote speaker of KPMG Global Conference 2008.
Prior to his position in the US, Mr. Xu has been working at domestic government and foreign organization for a long time. His business experience covering not only foreign investment promotion, but also overseas investment consultation and risk control strategy.
